About MamaTool

MamaTool is a free toolbox of 30 online utilities that run entirely in your web browser. No accounts, no uploads, no fees.

Our Mission

Most people need a small utility at least once a day. You want to count the words in an essay, convert a color code, work out a loan payment, shrink a photo before emailing it, or format a block of JSON that someone sent you. These are simple jobs, yet the web is full of sites that bury them under pop-ups, sign-up walls, file-size limits and confusing menus.

MamaTool exists to fix that. Our mission is simple: give everyone a fast, clean, trustworthy place to get small jobs done, without asking for money, an email address or access to your files. You open a page, you use the tool, and you leave with your result.

How MamaTool Started

MamaTool began as a practical idea. Every tool on the site solves a task that people search for again and again, and many of those tasks do not need a server at all. Modern browsers are powerful enough to count text, calculate loan schedules, hash a string, compress an image or generate a QR code locally. So we decided to build one website that brings those everyday utilities together, keeps the design consistent, and writes helpful explanations around each tool so that visitors understand what the result means and not only what the number is.

The project is independently run. We are not backed by a large company, and we would rather be honest about that than invent a team photo or a list of impressive numbers. What we can promise is that every tool is tested, every page is written for real readers, and the site is improved steadily over time.

What You Can Do on MamaTool

The toolbox is organized into six categories, so you can find the right utility in seconds from the homepage:

  • Text Tools: Word Counter, Case Converter, Text Diff Checker, Lorem Ipsum Generator, Remove Duplicate Lines and Text to Slug Converter.
  • Converters and Calculators: Unit Converter, Age Calculator, BMI Calculator, Percentage Calculator, EMI Calculator, Date Difference Calculator, Number to Words Converter and Tip Calculator.
  • Developer Tools: JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder Decoder, URL Encoder Decoder, Code Minifier, Regex Tester, Color Converter and Hash Generator.
  • Generators: Password Generator, QR Code Generator, Random Number Generator with dice and coin flip, and UUID Generator.
  • Image and Media: Image Compressor, Image Format Converter and Image to Base64.
  • Productivity: Pomodoro Timer with a stopwatch, and a To-Do List with notes.

Each tool page also includes a plain-English guide: what the tool is, how to use it step by step, common use cases, practical tips and answers to frequently asked questions. We also publish short guides in the Articles section for readers who want to go a little deeper.

Why MamaTool Is Free and Private

Every tool runs in your own browser using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. When you paste text into the Word Counter or drop a photo into the Image Compressor, the work is done by your device. The content is not sent to our servers, because our tools do not need a server to function. That design has two big benefits: your information stays with you, and the tools remain fast even on a modest phone.

The site is free to use. To cover hosting and the time it takes to build and maintain the tools, we display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads help us keep every tool free without charging you or asking you to subscribe. You can read exactly how advertising and cookies work in our Privacy Policy.

Our Values

  • Usefulness first. A tool should solve the problem in a few seconds. If a feature does not help you finish the job, it does not belong.
  • Privacy by design. We prefer building tools that work locally over tools that collect data. If we do not need your information, we do not ask for it.
  • Honesty. We explain what each tool can and cannot do. Calculators are guides, not professional advice, and we say so clearly in our Disclaimer.
  • Accessibility. Pages are built with semantic HTML, readable contrast, keyboard navigation and a light and dark theme so you can work comfortably day or night.
  • Quality content. We write original explanations instead of copying text from other sites, and we correct mistakes when readers point them out.

How the Tools Are Built

MamaTool uses plain, lightweight web technology. There are no heavy frameworks and no required accounts. Pages load quickly, work on phones, tablets and desktop computers, and keep working offline once they have loaded. Secure features such as the Password Generator and Random Number Generator use the browser's built-in cryptographic random number source rather than weak pseudo-random shortcuts. The Hash Generator uses the Web Crypto API. The only external library we load is a small open-source QR code script from a public content delivery network on the QR Code Generator page.

Because the tools run on your device, results can depend slightly on your browser. We test in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If something does not behave as expected, please tell us and we will investigate.

What Comes Next

MamaTool is a growing project. Our roadmap focuses on improving the existing tools before adding many new ones: better mobile layouts, more options inside popular tools, additional guides in the Articles section and continued testing of edge cases. Suggestions from visitors shape what we build, so if you wish a tool existed, let us know.
